Eat nuts and seeds such as sunflower
seeds, raw almonds, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, hazelnuts, pecans. Almond and
walnut butter, tahini and humous are also good sources of protein.
Grains such as brown rice, quinoa, wild
rice and millet are excellent choices. Legumes to incorporate are lentils,
black beans, black-eyed peas and small white beans.
Purchase good quality “wild” fish such as
salmon, halibut or sole and avoid farm raised fish.
Avoid artificial sweeteners, sugar,
microwaved foods, pasteurized juices, carbonated drinks and sodas, excess salt,
mayonnaise, caffeine.
Avoid fried foods – grill or bake instead
Avoid caffeine, alcohol and tobacco – drink 7-10 glasses of high quality
filtered water daily.
